Mission e Programma sintetico / Mission & Content Summary
MISSION

The aim of the course is to bring the student up to a Business B2 level, which means they can: • understand the main points in current affairs or of personal interest. • follow with ease a discussion in his/her field of specialization. • understand texts written in business language. • write basic business letters and reports • produce a simple text about professional situations. • convey information both written and orally • express personal opinions and reasons.

PROGRAMMA SINTETICO / CONTENT SUMMARY

The preparatory course is offered in the 2nd semester 1st year (36 hours). There is no exam.

At the end of the course, students will be able to:


Understand the main points in familiar matters, such as current affairs or personal interest. Follow a discussion in his/her field of specialization.

Understand texts written in business language.

Produce simple texts about professional situations.

Convey information, describe experiences and events and briefly explain the reasons for personal opinions.

Management Styles New Business Company Structure.

Planning.

Careers & Recruitment

Sales & Marketing

 

Around these core topics students will practice and develop the appropriate skills expected to enable them to participate on the Professional Skills Seminars

The course takes into account the fact that the students are learning the language for use in professional situations (Business English).

  • Exercises (exercises, database, software etc.)
  • Individual assignments
  • Interactive class activities (role playing, business game, simulation, online forum, instant polls)

  • Face-to-face lecture: these will be conducted by the professor who is assigned to the course
  • Exercises (Exercises, database, software etc.): these will be selected at the consent of the professor  from the materials available to them
  • Individual assignments: these will be assigned by the professor during the 1st Interactive class activities : role playing and simulation activities
