Obiettivi formativi del corso

Il corso di Microeconomia presenta i principali materiali relativi allo studio dei comportamenti individuali degli agenti economici (consumatori e imprese) e all'analisi dei mercati concorrenziali e non concorrenziali. Attraverso lo svolgimento dei diversi argomenti, la soluzione di esercizi e la discussione di casi concreti lo studente è posto in grado di comprendere molti problemi attuali che caratterizzano il funzionamento dei mercati. Il corso offre anche le basi per la comprensione dei modelli aggregati dell'intera economia.

Descrizione dettagliata delle modalità d'esame

Esame in forma scritta. 
È possibile sostenere l'esame in due prove intermedie scritte, a metà corso e a fine corso. In questo caso, l'esame si considera superato solo se entrambi i voti conseguiti nelle prove intermedie sono sufficienti.

Course Objectives

The Microeconomics course introduces the main issues of individual economic behaviour with a reference to consumers and firms, and the analysis of competitive and non-competitive markets. Presenting and discussing the different topics, through exercises and classes and through the discussion of actual cases, the student is able to understand many problems of the functioning of the markets. The course provides also the background to understand the aggregate models of the whole economy.

Detailed Description of Assessment Methods

Students are evaluated according to a written exam.
It is possible to take the exam in two stages, a partial exam and a final exam. In this case, it is necessary to pass both exams.
Alternatively, students can choose to take a general exam at the end of the course.
