Course Objectives

Industrial relations systems present different features and issues in different legal and economic contexts. Analysing these differences with a comparative approach provides the students with a critical view of the topic.


Course Content Summary

Teaching approach is based on the previous circulation among students of selected materials (papers of well known International Scholars, National and International Court's decisions, pieces of national legislation) on key issues of the regulation in the field or Industrial Relations such as the role of the law in governing the labour market and the employment contract, the problems arising from membership/non-membership, collective bargaining, etc.


Detailed Description of Assessment Methods

The examination will consist of two parts: 1) evaluation based on active contribution to daily discussion (10%); 2) evaluation based on atake-home paper based on five open questions to be answered within a maximum of 5.000 words (90%).
