Course Objectives
The course aims at:

Providing the basic theoretical principles of energy and environmental economics

Providing the analytical tools useful to study the energy sector and the environmental problems, with emphasis on the role of technological change and innovation

Explaining the mechanisms of operation in the energy and environmental markets with emphasis on trading of gas, electricity and carbon emissions allowances
Examining the determinants and implications of the strategic behaviour of the energy firms
Course Content Summary
Teaching methods include lectures, guest speakers from a variety of organizations and case discussions. The course includes the following topics:

The theory of the exhaustible resources
