The conference is funded by MIUR through PRIN 2008 and it is hosted by Bocconi University
The aim of the workshop is to allow for in-depth scientific interactions among researchers interested in the underground economy, tax evasion, and fiscal policy from a macroeconomic perspective. The conference accepts both theoretical and empirical contributions.
Theoretical and empirical models of the underground economy and tax evasion; theory of (optimal) taxation; fiscal policy and behavior of economic agent; tax evasion, underground economy in (dynamic) general equilibrium models; fiscal policy in open economies; underground economy from the demand side; experiments; criminal economy; statistical models in sector studies, alternative strategies and models for solving the hard-to-tax, methods for selecting taxpayers to audit.
