6033 - INFORMATICA PER L'ECONOMIA / COMPUTER SKILLS FOR ECONOMICS

L'obiettivo del corso è quello di insegnare l'uso di Excel a livello avanzato, mediante esempi ed esercizi calati nella realtà di studio e di lavoro degli studenti Bocconi.

Per studenti frequentanti:

• introduzione al corso, breve ripasso di Excel, come costruire un foglio di calcolo efficace;
• risoluzione di casi economici e aziendali mediante l'uso di Excel a livello avanzato. Vengono introdotti strumenti avanzati quali funzioni database, funzioni di testo, funzioni matematiche e statistiche, funzioni nidificate, tabelle pivot, scenari, ricerca obiettivo ecc.  

Per gli studenti non frequentanti il programma consiste nella bibliografia completa

L'esame si volge secondo due modalità distinte: prove intermedie ed esame finale.
Le prove intermedie sono pensate per chi partecipa assiduamente alle lezioni, essendo riferite specificamente agli argomenti trattati in aula. L'esame può essere sostenuto mediante prove intermedie solo dagli studenti iscritti al primo anno. Non sarà possibile sostenere le prove intermedie in anni di corso successivi a quello in cui l'insegnamento viene impartito. Fanno eccezione gli studenti provenienti da altra Università o altro Corso di laurea Bocconi, ammessi al secondo anno con debito d'esame su Informatica per l'economia. Tali studenti possono essere ammessi alle prove intermedie segnalando preventivamente la loro situazione con una e-mail all'indirizzo sedin@unibocconi.it.
La prova finale è destinata a coloro che non hanno sostenuto o non hanno superato le prove intermedie ed è riferita alla bibliografia completa.
Per entrambe le modalità, l'esame è in forma scritta.

Per poter essere ammessi all'esame è necessario aver conseguito una tra le certificazioni riconosciute dal SEDIN: ECDL base completa, ECDL advanced completa, IC3 2005 plus, MOS master.
Tale certificazione deve essere conseguita entro la data di chiusura delle iscrizioni per l'appello d'esame al quale si desidera partecipare (seconda prova intermedia o prova generale). Una volta conseguita la certificazione è necessario comunicarlo al SEDIN attraverso l'agenda dello studente.

Gli studenti che non fossero ancora in possesso di una delle suddette certificazioni possono conseguirla presso l'Università Bocconi usufruendo del test center ECDL.

Si consiglia vivamente di sostenere almeno i moduli n° 2 (Uso del computer e gestione dei file) e 4 (Foglio elettronico) della certificazione ECDL prima dell'inizio del corso.

The course's objective is to teach how to use Excel at an advanced level through examples and exercises embedded in Bocconi students' working environment.

For attending students:

• introduction to the course, short Excel review, how to build an effective spreadsheet;
• solving business and economics cases using advanced Excel. Advanced tools are presented such as database functions, text functions, mathematical and statistical functions, nested functions, pivot tables, scenarios, goal seek etc.

For non-attending students the program consists in the full bibliography.

The exam can be taken as two partial exams or a single final exam.
Partial exams are scheduled for students who attend lessons regularly, since they refer to topics discussed in class, and can only be attended during the first year. Students coming from other University or other Bocconi Bachelor Degree directly to second year of BIEM can attend partial exams too, by pointing out their situation with an e-mail to sedin@unibocconi.it.
The final exam is scheduled for those students who have not either taken or passed the partial exams and it refers to the complete course bibliography.
In both cases, the exam is written.

To attend the exam for this course you need to have obtained the full ECDL core certificate or one of the following:

• ECDL advanced (full)
• IC3 2005 plus
• MOS Master

The deadline for having obtained a full ECDL certification (or other certification) is the last day that you can sign-up for the exam you attend (either the second half-term exam or the final exam). After having achieved the certification you have to communicate it to SEDIN via yoU@B.

To be able to follow the course, it is strongly recommended that you have passed at least these ECDL modules: 2 (Using the Computer and Managing Files) and 4 (Spreadsheet).
