The duration of the course is one semester (2nd semester of 1st year) (48 hours + general exam).
The main topic areas covered during the course include: Team Building, Communication, Building Relationships, Management Styles, International Marketing, Success.

L’insegnamento è secondo semestre del 1° anno (48 ore di didattica + prova generale).
Il programma affronta le seguenti macro-tematiche principali in modo da consentire di raggiungere il livello B2 general (in termini di grammatica, sintassi e vocabolario) attraverso situazioni concrete e contestualizzate: Team Building, Communication, Building Relationships, Management Styles, International Marketing, Success.

Knowledge
Students will acquire a good level of grammar and syntax as well as a fairly wide vocabulary that will enable them to be independent users of English language and deal with non-familiar and quite complex topics.

Skills
Students will be able to write clear, well-structured and detailed texts; reports, letters,emails, on complex topics, showing understanding of conventions, controlled use of organizational patterns, connectors and cohesive devices ; to interact with a degree of fluency and spontaneity that makes regular interaction with native speakers possible without strain for either party; to be clear and detailed when speaking and explaining view points, giving the pros and cons of various options.

Capacità di applicare conoscenze
Lo studente sarà in grado di produrre un testo chiaro e dettagliato; reports, letters, emails, su una gamma di argomenti, di comprendere le idee principali di testi articolati su argomenti sia concreti sia astratti. Sarà in grado di interagire con una certa scioltezza e spontaneità che rendono possibile un dialogo naturale con i parlanti nativi senza sforzo per l'interlocutore, esprimendosi in modo chiaro e articolato su molteplici argomenti e riuscirà a spiegare i pro e i contro relativi a varie opzioni.

- Face-to-face lectures: these are conducted by the professor who is assigned to the course.
- Exercises (Exercises, database, software etc.): these are selected at the consent of the professor from the materials available to them.
- Individual assignments: these are assigned by the professor during the second semester.
- Online lectures will available to students who are unable to be present in class.

STUDENTI FREQUENTANTI E NON FREQUENTANTI / ATTENDING AND NOT ATTENDING STUDENTS
The internal Bocconi exam is aimed at assessing four skills: reading, writing, listening and speaking, as with international certification.
The mark is expressed out of 30.
Students can sit the exam (“general” mode) as from the end of second semester (after the end of the teaching period).
5 exam sessions are scheduled throughout the year (May-Jun, Jun-Jul, Aug-Sept, Oct, Jan-Feb).
Please note that, in order to sit for the exam, it is required to register via Agenda yoU@B.

L’esame interno Bocconi è finalizzato a valutare quattro abilità: reading, writing, listening e speaking, in analogia al modello delle certificazioni internazionali.
La valutazione prevede voto in trentesimi.
L’esame può essere superato attraverso prove generali a partire dal primo appello successivo al termine della didattica (maggio).
Sono previsti 5 appelli all’anno (maggio-giugno, giugno-luglio, agosto-settembre, ottobre, gennaio-febbraio).
Si ricorda che, per sostenere l’esame, è richiesta iscrizione tramite Agenda yoU@B.
