Course Objectives

The course aims to provide students with basic knowledge of environmental law. In particular, after analyzing the international and EU principles of the sector and the juridical notion of environment, the course analyzes the Italian environmental code.

Detailed Description of Assessment Methods

Students are expected to ensure regular class attendance and to actively participate in class discussions and teamwork.
For attending students
  • 33% of the mark: oral presentation on a specific topic (the oral presentation takes place on the last 2 classes of the Course).
  • 33% of the mark: first partial exam (closed-book examination). The exam consists of 2 open-ended questions on the first part of the Course.The duration of the test is 50 minutes. The maximum lenght of each question is 30 lines.
  • 33% of the mark: second partial exam (open-book examination). The exam consists of 2 open-ended questions on the second part of the Course. The duration of the test is 50 minutes. The maximum lenght of each questionis 30 lines.
For non attending students
  • 100% of the mark: final written exam on the entire course.
