After obtaining the PhD in Mathematic for Economic Decisions from the University of Trieste (January 1999) and the PhD in Economics from the Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona (October 2000) I started my academic career at the University College London. In 2010, I joined the Bocconi University from the University College London where I was Professor of Economics. I am now Full Professor of Economics in Bocconi where I am also the Program Director of the PhD in Economics and Finance. From January 2018 I am editor of the Journal of the European Economic Association.
My research interests range from Macroeconomic Theory, Economics of Information, Public Finance, Consumption Theory, Labour Economics and Behavioural Economics.
My work has been published in Econometrica, the American Economic Review, the Review of Economics Studies, the Journal of Economic Theory, the Journal of Monetary Economics, the Journal of the European Economic Association, the Economic Journal, the Journal of Public Economics and the International Economic Review, among others.
