PREREQUISITES

To feel comfortable in this course, it is preferable to be familiar with the concept of Artificial Intelligence (AI) as well as the ideas of ethical principles and legal rules.

Mission & Content Summary

MISSION

At the end of the course, students will be able to critically assess uses and applications of AI systems, as well as to understand their ethical, social and legal impact. In doing so, they will be able to prevent and avoid potential misuses of AI and its backlashes.

Engage with the concept of AI beyond the typical approach of computer scientists.
Learn the ethical principles that govern the programming and learning processes of AI.
Translate these ethical principles into legal and technical rules that are incorporated into current and future AI regulations.

Guest speaker's talks (in class or in distance)

DETAILS

The course will be mainly based on face to face lecture. Some guest speakers, expert in the relationship between AI and the law, might be called to share their experience with students

ATTENDING STUDENTS

The assessment is based on a written exam which counts for the 100% of the grade. The exam will based only on open questions which aims to assess the students abililty to apply the basic concepts of AI and ethics.
